World Wide Walk
Every day, girls living in world's poorest communities miss out on an education due to poverty, violence and discrimination. By raising money through walking you can support our work to ensure girls don't miss out on education and are freed from the violence they may face.
What: Walk 10km
When: March 2017
Where: Your school, community or wherever works for you
Join the World Wide Walk in March 2017 at your school, and fundraise to support girls around the world to go to school and be safe in their communities.
Walk 10km to change the world for girls
Schools around the country have already raised an incredible £150,000 to help girls living in the poorest communities. That could help to fund enough scholarships to keep an entire girls' school in education for a year.
Together we're making great progress, but still other girls are forced to miss out.
So whether you walk to school over the week, in your playground during your lunch break or organise a big event in your town, you’ll be having a huge impact for girls worldwide.
Our team will be there to support you with fantastic resources, expert fundraising advice and tips on organising your event.
Walk with us in your 2017 Spring Term and help to leave a lasting legacy for girls across the world.

Walking for girls' rights
Since 2013, pupils and staff at Newcastle High School for Girls have organised a World Wide Walk through the city centre with local schools.
The pupils fundraise throughout the term by collecting sponsorship and organising fundraising events.
Together, they have already raised over £25,000 and will be walking again to support girls worldwide in 2017.
How your fundraising helps
In rural Uganda, girls often struggle to complete their education. When her family's finances took a turn for the worse, Irene was forced to drop out so that her siblings could continue school.
Luckily, Irene is now back in school thanks to a scholarship from Plan International.
We're helping girls like Irene to stay in school by providing scholarships and challenging attitudes.
