UNIGLOBE Travel British Isles
Supporting our Because I Am a Girl campaign, UNIGLOBE Travel British Isles, one of the world's largest travel companies, has engaged all its members in undertaking a gruelling fundraising challenge.
Sixteen climbers from UNIGLOBE British Isles, took on the challenge of conquering Kilimanjaro in a bid to raise £35,000 for Plan. The funds raised went towards building a new school residence in Mwanza, Tanzania enabling many young girls to attend and board at school.
One UNIGLOBE member said: "Climbing Kilimanjaro was a massive personal challenge which filled me with a mixture of fear and exhilaration. However, when you look at the work of Plan to help give children across the developing world a better chance, it was easy to find the motivation to take part in the climb.
“As a company, UNIGLOBE is passionate about supporting this superb charity and every penny we raise will be donated to the project in Tanzania.”
