Plan UK has teamed up with the Guardian and seven other international development agencies to launch The Guardian Development Journalism Competition, inviting entries from writers who can shed light on issues facing the developing world; from climate change and conflict to corruption and young people participation.
Open to both freelance and student journalists - the competition could mean a once in a lifetime opportunity for the 16 lucky finalists to visit Africa or Asia on an assignment to write a feature that will be published in special supplements in the Guardian later this year.
