Leigh Daynes is a PR specialist with 14 years experience in the charity sector. He has previously worked for the British Red Cross and Save the Children, frequently leading in-theatre communications.
Humanitarian disasters
Dr Unni Krishnan – a medical doctor with more than 20 years experience in the humanitarian field, Dr Krishnan has advanced training in humanitarian action and conflict management.
Brian Ingle – Brian has been involved in relief work for 15 years, working primarily in conflict-affected areas in Africa and central Asia, gaining relief experience through a number of prominent British and French humanitarian NGOs.
Disaster risk reduction
Dr Nick Hall – with more than 20 years experience in international development, Dr Hall is a specialist in disaster risk management research, planning and programming, with a focus on children and education.
Advocacy and campaigns
Adam Short – Adam is an experienced public affairs and campaigns specialist working across a range of international institutions, government departments, companies and NGOs. As Head of Advocacy and Campaigns, Adam leads Plan’s work public policy, influence and campaigning work.
Gender
Kanwal Ahluwalia – With an MA in Development Studies, Kanwal has worked in the field of international development for 14 years in relation to research, fundraising, programmes and policy work with specific expertise in women’s rights and gender equality.
Development education
Miriam Kybird – Miriam has previously managed educational innovation programmes, focusing on developing new practice, child centred learning, cultural education and education for social change. In her current role she is focusing on global approaches to digital Development Education.
George Anang'a – George Anang’a is Plan UK’s Development Education Projects Manager. He previously worked as a teacher in his native Kenya for more than ten years.
Sexual rights & reproductive health
Rowan Harvey – Rowan has worked in the in the field of HIV and sexual health for seven years. In 2007 she was voted 'Public Affairs Achiever of the Year' by MPs in the Dodds and Scottish Widows 'Women in Public Life' Awards.
