About volunteering with Plan

Volunteers play a crucial part in helping us bring about lasting improvements in the quality of life for deprived children in the poorest countries in the world. Whether you give a couple of hours, a day or a year, we really value the time you spend with us.

Whether you are looking for work-related experience, filling in gaps in your CV, or just wanting to help, we would really appreciate your support.

We often have volunteer vacancies throughout the organisation, whether working on a fundraising task, helping out in the Finance Department, carrying out research for our Because I am A Girl campaign or helping out with administration in our Corporate Services Department.

We only have volunteering opportunities during working hours, typically 9 - 5, Monday to Friday. And, as Plan has a policy of only using local volunteers for our international projects, we can only provide volunteering opportunities at our Old Street office in London.

Investing in volunteersPlan UK are formally recognised by the UK Investors in Volunteers quality standard as using best practice in our work with volunteers.

If a new food security and nutrition initiative is to be announced, then this is the real story, at least for millions of people across the Sahel region currently at risk of chronic malnutrition.
