How to leave a legacy to Plan

If you're thinking about leaving a gift to Plan in your will, we'd suggest you consult a solicitor first. This will make sure your will is legally binding.

When drawing up a will, you'll naturally want to take care of your loved ones first. After that, you may want to leave Plan a lump sum of your choice, or a gift that's a percentage of what's left.

The advantage of leaving a percentage (sometimes called a 'residuary gift') is that it remains the same over time, you may not need to change your will again to keep up with inflation.

We have a suggested legal wording to help you when writing your will. Please ask Kat Heath and she will be happy to send you a copy in confidence or you can download a copy here.

If you already have a will, and want to change it, you can ask your solicitor to add a codicil. Download a sample codicil with the wording we recommend below.
