A message from Marie Staunton, Plan’s Chief Executive "We all want to make sure that we take care of our families in our wills but I also wanted to leave something to causes that I feel passionately about.
My own children have grown up healthy, taught by teachers who have inspired them and are excited about their futures but I’ve met many children in developing countries all over the world who don’t have the same opportunities. For many, their health is threatened by drinking dirty water, they’re forced to work instead of going to school and their futures are far less certain. I’ve seen first hand how a legacy can help families and communities break this cycle of poverty and build a better future for their children. That’s why I’ve left a gift to Plan’s work in my will.
I'd like to ask you to join me and do something very special for future generations of children by leaving a gift to Plan in your will." |
A gift for the future
Enabling children in the world’s poorest countries to grow up healthy, go to school and make positive contribution to their communities is what motivates thousands of people to support Plan.
Sponsorship is a fantastic way to do just this. But the single biggest thing that many Plan supporters ever do for the world’s poorest children is to leave a gift in their will.
A legacy from you could transform thousands of lives in decades to come. Your gift could help pay for a whole school to be built, or for an entire village to get access to safe drinking water. Every gift in every will makes a very real difference, however big or small. And when you leave a legacy to Plan, you can even decide the country or type of project where that money will be spent.
We understand that making a will is a sensitive, personal business. Chris Clarke, our Legacy Advisor, is on hand to give further information should you need it. We promise your enquiry will be dealt with in a friendly, discreet and respectful way.
“A legacy to Plan is our way of giving something back for everything we’ve received in our lives” Sheila and Andrew Stevens, Plan sponsors from Cheshire.
