School fundraising
From the classroom to the deserts of Africa, the paddy fields of Asia or the rainforests of South America.
As well as providing vital funds for Plan’s worldwide work, fundraising events at schools can be educational and fun.
School staff and pupils throughout the UK regularly take part in a wide range of innovative activities that get everyone involved. They are not only raising money for some of the poorest communities in the world, but also helping raise awareness of Plan.
There are a variety of ways in which your school can get involved in fundraising.
You can run an event and decide to raise funds for one of our many projects. Or if you are happy for us to choose, these funds can go to wherever the need is greatest.
If you are stuck for ideas, have a look at our suggestions for fundraising activities.
Having a speaker attend to give a talk about Plan’s work can be great way of kick-starting your fundraising.
We have a network of over 50 volunteer speakers all over the UK, who are themselves sponsors and have a clear understanding of how Plan works with children and their communities. Most speakers have first-hand experience having visited their sponsored child or a developing country.
