Using Gift Aid means that for every pound you give, Plan will receive an extra 28 pence from the Inland Revenue, without affecting your tax status or committing you to supporting Plan's work for a specified length of time.

For Plan to reclaim the Gift Aid on the donations you have made to us since 6 April 2000 and all donations in the future, you must pay an amount of income tax and/or capital gains at least equal to the tax Plan will reclaim on your donations in the tax year.

If you are a higher-rate taxpayer, you can claim tax relief for yourself on the difference between the basic and higher rate of tax by including your donations in your annual tax return.

This means that on a donation of £100, Plan would receive £128.
