innocent drinks through the innocent foundation have partnered with Plan to support school vegetable gardens in Bima, Indonesia. Thanks to this project, 5,000 pupils in ten schools in Madapangga, Bima, were taught how to create their own vegetable gardens, children learned to plant, nurture and cultivate organically grown fruits and vegetables, and to respect and protect the environment, as well as providing them with nutritious food.

¿We really liked the way the project mirrored our concerns about growing safe and nutritious food and how it involved enthusing and teaching young people about healthy diets,¿ says Linda Perry from the innocent foundation. ¿Plan has a long term view on development and we feel working with school children gives us a real opportunity to support the building of a sustainable future.
¿We¿re delighted to have the opportunity to support Plan on this project and to hear that as a result of the project, the children are very keen to use their new experience and knowledge to create their own gardens at home. They¿ve shared their understanding with their parents and neighbours and many households are planting similar gardens with practical support from the teachers.¿
innocent foundation support has enabled Plan to establish a sustainable project:
As part of the partnership, innocent drinks have featured information about Plan and the project they are supporting on some of their one litre cartons of smoothies. Look out for these cartons which are currently sold at all major supermarkets nationwide.
