Haiti Hurricane Response
In Haiti, Hurricane Matthew brought torrential rain of up to 25 inches, 16-metre waves off the southern peninsula and a storm surge of seven to ten feet on the south coast.
We have been working in Haiti for more than 40 years. In 2010 we helped Haiti get back on its feet after it was struck by a devastating earthquake, and our work to ensure children and communities are better prepared when disasters strike is ongoing.
With your support, we responded to Hurricane Matthew by distributing emergency relief kits for up to 20,000 families and ensuring children, who are the most vulnerable during emergencies, were safe.
