Brownies changing the world with Plan UK

Over 100 Brownies took part in our Because I am a Girl workshop in Ossett, West Yorkshire. They all wrote messages to Gordon Brown and posted them through the miniature No.10 door! We will deliver them to the real No.10 Downing Street at the end of May.

Here are some of their messages and photos from the day:

Plan UK staff work with Brownies on the workshop

"We need to go to school to achieve our dreams, you went to school to achieve your dreams so why shouldn't we?"
Charlotte, 9

"I am writing to you because every girl should be allowed to go to school. Because every one should have a good education to understand each other. Help all girls to go to school. Thank you."
Emily, 9

Brownies working on a project

"It is really unfair that loads of girls don't get enough to eat and they don't go to school. So it will be really good if you could make a difference."
Mary, 9

"My favourite subject at school is art. I think all girls should get a chance to draw and express their feelings."
Edie, 9
