Last year Plan’s work reached 56.4 million children and their families in 58,053 communities around the world, with over 1.5 million sponsored children.
Last year, we:
- trained 175,886 professional and volunteer health workers, benefiting 18,416 communities
- trained 62,424 community health workers and traditional birth attendants, benefiting 9,212 communities.
- trained 76,419 professional and volunteer education workers, benefiting 14,988 communities. We supported the construction and rehabilitation of 1,723 schools.
- trained 165,148 people in agricultural, vocational and business
- trained 110,972 community members and staff of partner organisation in child protection.
- supported 2,119 microfinance organisations and 77,792 local savings and loan groups.
- supported 122,297 households to improve their sanitation facilities, and helped refurbish 5,804 water points
Making a difference through partnerships
Last year, we:
- worked with 58,053 communities with a total population of 119 million people.
- worked with 22,979 partnerships worldwide, with over 16,000 community-based organisations, and nearly 2,000 collaborations with local NGOs.
- employed 8,707 people worldwide.
